Past Projects

Hello everyone! Here are a few photos from my past projects. I thought I'd start with my final college project which was titled "Floral". I designed a collection of shoes to reflect each of the seasons and a "puppet" shoe as a centre piece.

Created using soaked and structured wood, felt, printed floral fabric, stuffing, dried twigs and clear thread
This design was created with function. Under the heel I hand sewed a flower where each petal had a hinge. Attached to the end of each petal was a length of clear thread which all joined at a point. When the threads are pulled the flower beneath the heel closes up and becomes tight. When the threads are let loose, the flower opens again.
